Shirley E. Knew, 76, formerly from
Francisco, passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010.
Born Sept. 7, 1934 in Dugger, she was the
daughter of Donald Burris and Mabel (Evans) Burris.
She was a member of Faith Community Church
in Dugger. She retired from Potter & Brumfield in Princeton after 34 years of service. Shirley and her husband, Robert would
have had their 60th anniversary on Oct. 20, 2010.They camped at Sullivan Lake
for more than 30 years.
Survivors include her husband Robert
Knew; sons, Roger (Melinda) Knew of Fairfield, Ill., Randy (Janelle) Knew of
Heber Springs, Ark., Russell (Teresa) Knew of Newburgh; a daughter, Shelly Hunt
of Olney, Ill.; a sister, Donna (Jack) Woodard of Dugger; a brother-in-law, Roy Frayser
of Pendleton; a sister-in-law, Betty Burris of Middletown; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
brothers, Bill and Herb Burris; and a sister, Evelyn Frayser.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 4, 2010 at Banks and Brust Funeral
Home in Sullivan with Pastor Sean Farris officiating. Burial will be in Dugger Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
