James A. “Butch” Jenkins, 61, passed away at
home.
Born Jan. 3, 1949 in Princeton, he was the son of James Arthur and Bertha E.
(Green) Jenkins.
He lived in Evansville for the past 10 years moving from the Princeton area. He was a truck driver for the Salvation Army, retiring in 2006.
He attended St.
Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Princeton.
Survivors include two sisters, Sylvia Hardiman and Gwendolyn Jenkins both of Princeton; two brothers Perry (Elizabeth “Libby”)
Jenkins of Princeton, Michael (Mary) Jenkins of Aurora, N.C.; and several
nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and
sister, Jacquelyn Young.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sand Hill Cemetery in Princeton with the Rev. Rodney Coffer officiating. There will
be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
