James Howard “Jim” Cochrane, 73, of Oakland City,
passed away Sunday, Sept. 12, 2010 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City.
Jim was born on March 23, 1937 in Indianapolis to Howard and Vivan
Cochrane.
He served in the United States Navy
Reserve. He worked for RCA in Indianapolis, Potter & Brumfield, and Norfolk Southern
Railroad.
Jim is survived by his children,
Kenneth (Nancy) Cochrane of Evansville, Jeanette (Tracy) Houchins of Oakland City,
Jennifer (Jeff) Brown of Evansville; nine grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his
parents; his wife, Judy Cochrane in 2007, a son, Roger Cochrane; and a brother,
Jerry Cochrane.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City,
with the Rev. Larry Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.
VFW Post 1147 will conduct full military rites at the graveside.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
