Steven P. Blann,
52, of Brownstown, passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at home.
Born Jan. 18, 1958 in Vincennes, he was the son of Bill and Patty (Page) Blann.
He was employed as a coal miner for 29 years
and was a land surveyor with Foresight Land
since 2005. He was a member of the Brownstown Christian Church and the Moose
Lodge.
He loved his job and enjoyed camping,
fishing, antique tractors and loved spending time with his grandchildren.
On June 20, 1987, he married Patricia R. Rainbold
in Patoka.
Survivors include his parents; wife,
Patricia; son, Daniel S. (Angela) Blann of
Brownstown; daughters, Michelle (Shaun) Russell of Summerdale, Ala., Alicia P. Blann of
Brownstown; brother, Allen Joe Blann of Brownstown;
five grandchildren, Chole F. and Carol R. Russell,
Jacob D, Brady O. and Chase R. Blann.
He was preceded in death by his
grandparents, Everett and Margaret Page and Rollie
and Fidellis Blann.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at Shaker Prairie Christian Church in Carlisle. Burial will follow in Shepard Cemetery in Carlisle.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, 206 Commerce St. in Brownstown and again from 11 a.m. Thursday until the service hour at the church.
