William F. “Bill” Lemmons,
100, of Kuttawa Ky., formerly of Princeton, passed away Friday, Aug. 20, 2010 at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree, Ky.
Born May 8, 1910 in Terre Haute, he was the son of Clarance
and Alta (Granell) Lemmons.
He lived in Kuttawa
for the past 16 years, moving there from Henderson. He lived in Florida from 1957-64. He was a retired plumber and pipefitter. He was a former member of the First General Baptist Church in Princeton. He was Honorable Kentucky Colonel, and an inactive
member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of 76
years, Mildred “Midge” Lemmons of Kuttawa;
five children, Betty (Don) Kuester of Kuttawa, Ky., William G “Bill” (Kay) Lemmons
of Fort Branch, Phillip M. Lemmons of Lakeworth, Fla., J. Michael Lemmons
of Murray, Ky., Jack (Barbara) Lemmons of Henderson, Ky; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and seven
great great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents;
brothers, Grant, Arthur, Carson and Ed Lemmons; and a
sister, Juanita Ardents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 23, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. John Stepp officiating.
Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be noon until the service hour on Monday at the
funeral home.
