Carrye R. Greene, 77, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 11, 2010 at the Visiting Nursing Association Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville. 

She was born Sept. 27, 1932 in Louisville, Miss.

She lived in Princeton most of her life moving here from Mississippi. She retired from Siemens Corp., formerly Potter & Brumfield where she worked for many years.  She last worked as a home health aide for VNA.  She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness where she enjoyed being involved and witnessing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

 Survivors include a son, Cary Tyrone (Amy) Greene of  Princeton; three daughters, Mary (Sam) Dixon of Anderson, Vanessa (Michael) McClary of Bloomington, Jonita “Jon Jon” Greene of Princeton; 15 grandchildren, Michael, Kori, Patrice, James, Safiya, Jamila, Makau, Brock (Chrystal), Brandon (Brandi), Victoria, Todd (Annah), Caitlin, Jacob, Taya, Tyra; and several great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Davis; and a son, Michael Hurd.

 Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 16, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be in the Sand Hill Cemetery. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
