Janet A. (Lewis) Doane,
71, passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
Janet was born Dec. 8, 1938 in Princeton and had been a watchmaker for 50 years and owned the
Watch Clinic in Princeton. She was a graduate of the Chicago School of Watchmaking. Janet and her husband, Jerry ran the former
Starlight Drive-In for seven years. She was a member of the Broadway Christian
Church in Princeton.
Survivors include her husband of 45 years,
Jerry; two children, Chris (Ann) Doane of Spring
Hill, Kan., Shawanna (Greg) Otolski
of Holland, Mich.;; four grandchildren, Sydney and
Gage Otolski, Matthew and William Doane;
three sisters, Melba Bass and Ethel Mae Aders both of
Princeton and Helen Perlow of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents,
Arthur and Lilly (Humphreys) Lewis; two brothers and two sisters, Olive, Arthur
and Earl Lewis and Alma White.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Scott Burr officiating. Burial will follow at Archer Cemetery in Princeton.
Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
