Jewel J. Cooper, 52, of Oakland City,
passed away Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 at home.
Born Dec. 23, 1957 in Vincennes, she was the daughter of Arkie
and Betty (Davis) Cooper.
She lived in Oakland City most of her life. She attended the
Pentecostal church. She was a member of American Legion 256 Ladies Auxiliary
and the Eagles in Oakland City.
Survivors include her father, Arkie Cooper of Oakland City; son, Calvin Cooper of Oakland
City; daughter, Tammy McQueen of Evansville; four sisters, Vickie McCandless, Sharon Vore, Freida McCandless, all of Oakland
City, Helen Dersch of Eldorado,
Ill.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her
mother, Betty Cooper; brothers, Arkie Jr. and Calvin
Cooper; and sister, Mary McCandless.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday Aug. 16, 2010 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City,
with the Rev. Pat McCandless officiating. Burial will
be at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service hour on Monday at the funeral home.
