John Edward White Sr. age 83 passed away Saturday July 24, 2010 at his home in Milwaukee, WI. He was born in South Bend, IN on Feb. 8, 1927 to Charles and Lillian (White) Williams. Mr. White retired from working on the assembly line for Chrysler Corp. in Milwaukee where he had lived for over 40 years. He was a Veteran of the U S Army serving during WWII. He had been a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in South Bend, IN and later the All Saints Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

He is survived by 2 sons, John E. White Jr. of Milwaukee, WI and Reggie White of Phoenix, AZ; 3 daughters, Lora White of LaPorte, IN, Larissa White of Florida and Carolyn Thomas of Detroit, MI; several grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ailene R. White in 1996; 4 sisters, Jenny Thompson, Pat Buchanan, Rita Vassar and Catherine White.

Funeral Services will be held at the graveside at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4, 2010 at the Sand Hill Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery for services. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. V.F.W. Post 1147 will conduct military graveside services.
