Robert Lewis Spore, 47, passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at home.

Born Dec. 29, 1962 in Mt. Carmel, Ill., he was the son of Kenny and Diana (Newkirk) Spore.

He was a construction laborer and a social member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Karen; mother, Diana Newkirk; four daughters, Nicole (Shawn) Simmons, Nestelle Spore, Dollie (Mike) Kitchell, Jessica (Dane) Anderson; two sons, Nathan Spore of, Josh (Kristina) Zink; two sisters, Belle (Chuck) Carie, Susan Price; four brothers, Terry (Claudia), Tom (Susie), Larry (Charla), Kenny (Robin); a stepbrother, Jerry (Linda) Spore of Princeton; stepsister, Jane; special aunt, LaVerne Richardson; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandmother; and one nephew.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Free Methodist Church in St. Francisville. Burial will be at a later date.

Ingram Funeral Home in Allendale, Ill. is handling arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion in St. Francisville or to Good Samaritan Hospital Hospice in Vincennes.
