Rodger Minnis, 79, of Patoka, passed away on Saturday July 17, 2010

Born Aug. 17, 1930, he was the son of Thomas and Alice (Roberson) Minnis.

On Aug. 6, 1949, he married Geneva Jo Taylor in Webster county Ky.

He was retired from Whirlpool in Evansville after 39 years of service in the paint mixing department.

Survivors include children, David (Debbie) Minnis of Portland, Raymond Minnis of Patoka, Jeff (Elaine) Minnis of Princeton, Karen (Larry) Meadows of Princeton, Gloria (Stan) Patterson of Winchester, Ky., Patricia Richardson of Princeton, Joella (Robert) Sweppy of Keensburg, Ill.; 23 grandchildren; and 35 great- grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife, Geneva Jo Minnis.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 19, 2010 at the Columbia White Church Cemetery with Pastor Larry Meadows officiating.
