Eleanor W. Garrett, 88, of Fort Branch, passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2010 in Louisville, Ky.
Born Sept. 2, 1921, she was the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Brown.
She graduated from Central Normal College in Danville in 1942 and taught kindergarten for 30 years in the
North Gibson School Corp. She was a member of the Eastern Star and currently
was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Louisville, Ky.
Survivors include her daughters, Judi (Tim)
Bryant, Jill (Don) Harris; stepdaughter, Sue (Jack) Almon;
stepson, Michael (Irma) Garrett; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
husbands, Bruce West and Marion Garrett; and brothers, Kenneth, Ross and
Bernard Brown.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday July 24, 2010 at Maumee General Baptist Church in Johnson with the Rev. Ken Nelson officiating.
Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday July 23, 2010 at Stodghill Funeral Home
on Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch and from noon
until the service hour on Saturday at the church.
