Barbara K. Evans, 88, passed away Thursday, July 29, 2010 at Amber Manor Nursing Home in Petersburg. 

Born May 20, 1922 in Winslow, she was the daughter of Aaron and Margaret (Dixon) Bolin.

She was a homemaker and resided in Pike County all of her life. She attended the Patoka Grove Church.

Survivors include her four children, Diana (Bill) Ross of Petersburg, Karla (Dan) Poth of Lincoln City, James (Nell) Lynn and John K. “Buck” Evans both of Winslow; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John C. Evans in 1994, son, Billy Joe Lynn; two brothers, Wesley and Denver Bolin; three sisters, Lorene Nolan, Aline Simmons, Evelyn Vogel; and a grandson.

 Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2010 at the Williams Cemetery in Pike County with burial to follow.

Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City.
