Darwin “Doc” Paul Sturgeon, 93, of Evansville, IN, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010 at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. He was born October 7, 1916 in Princeton, Indiana to Paul and Maude (Thacker) Sturgeon. He had lived in the Evansville area since 1993.

He was a self-employed oil producer. He loved to play golf and was a member of the Oakland City Golf Club.

He is survived by his son Michael (Wanda) Sturgeon of Winter Springs, Florida and daughter Sharon (Steve) Sturgeon of Ft. Pierce, Florida. Also surviving his brother Dutch Sturgeon of Colorado Springs, CO and sister Priscilla Reavis of
Texas; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Virginia in 2006, his parents, two brothers Joe and Bob Sturgeon.

A memorial service will be held on
Friday, July 9, 2010 at 1 P.M. at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Jim Pullum officiating. Burial will be at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Friends may visit from noon until service time on Friday.
