Jeff E. Padgett, 61, passed away Thursday, July 1,
2010, at the Visiting Nurse
Association Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville.
Born July 28, 1948, he was the son of Richard F. Padgett and Pauline P.
Ellis.
He graduated from Paoli High School in 1966, attended Vincennes University from 1966 to 1967, and earned a business degree from Northwood
Institute in May 1969. He was a U.S. Army and Army Reserve veteran.
He was administrator and part-owner of
Good Samaritan Home in Oakland City for 15 years. He was also co-owner and
administrator of Colonial Assisted Living in Henderson and Vincennes for the past 10 years.
Survivors include his wife of 23 years,
Karin Padgett; four daughters, Ally Adams of Henderson, Amy Keller (Joe) of Bloomington, Jodi Weist (Kris) of Petersburg, Layla Enlow
(Sean) of Henderson; a son, Logan Padgett of Robards,
Ky.; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. (eastern) Monday at Harris Funeral Home in Petersburg. Burial will be in Walnut Hills Cemetery in Petersburg.
Visitation is 2-6 p.m. (central) Saturday at
Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home in Henderson, Ky., and from 2-6 p.m. (eastern) Sunday
and 9 a.m. (eastern) until the service hour on Monday at Harris Funeral
Home.
