Esther May Green, 74, of Somerville, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
Esther was born May 29, 1936 in Oakland City
to Claude and Celia (Newkirk) Green.
She lived in Somerville all of her life. She was a member of the Somerville Wesleyan Church and enjoyed attending and participating in the
activities at the church. She also enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by her brothers and
sisters, Ronald (Raydene) Green of Oakland City,
Manson Green of Princeton, Claude (Katherine) Green of Somerville, Maude
(Dana) Wilson of South Carolina, Mary McGillem of
Princeton Martha (Raymond) Graves of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
eight brothers, Clarence, Ralph, Jim, Denver, Danny, David, Paul Eugene, and Lanson
Green; and a sister, Ruth O’Neal.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City,
with the Rev. David Brandon officiating. Burial will be in Somerville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 8 a.m. until service time on Monday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City.
