Roy L. Grabbe, 92,
formerly of Freelandville, passed away at Gibson General Hospital’s Skilled Nursing Unit in Princeton.
Born Jan. 23, 1918, in Knox County, he was the son of Albert and Lena (Ritterskamp) Grabbe.
He was married to Doris (Clinkenbeard)
Grabbe. He was U.S.
Navy veteran of WWII, a real estate broker and operated Freelandville
Implement Co.
He was a member of Bethel Church, a board member of Knox County Area Rehabilitation Centers, Masonic Scottish Rite and the Hadi Shrine.
He was past state president of the Indiana Farm Equipment Dealers Association.
Survivors include a son, Pat (Ann) Grabbe of Princeton; grandchildren; Matt and Sarah Grabbe; great-grandson, Collin Grabbe;
and sister, June (Lloyd) Eppersimons of Summerville, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his
wife, Doris in 1999; two sons, John, who died in Vietnam, and David; four sisters; and a brother, who died in
infancy.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. (CST) Saturday at Bethel Church in Freelandville with the Rev. George Varns and the Rev. Mike Decoursey
officiating. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. (CST) Friday at the church.
