Joan M. Williams, 73 of Oakland City
passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home.
Joan was born Dec. 25, 1936 in New Jersey to John and Josephine Homa
She lived in Oakland City
for the past 35 years moving from New Jersey. She was a homemaker and a member of the Blessed
Sacrament Catholic Church in Oakland City.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, gardening and taking care of her yard.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Deborah and Roger Anderson of Oakland City;
two grandchildren, David Anderson, Megan Anderson; and a sister, Barbara Pajak of New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Lee “Buck” Williams in 2008; two
sons, Joseph Lee Williams, Robert Lee Williams Jr.; and a daughter-in-law,
Cindy Williams.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday May 22, 2010 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Oakland City,
with Father Ronald Zgunda the celebrant. Burial will
follow in the Providence Cemetery in Francisco.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City
with a Christian wake service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
