Wilma Fern Duncan, 89 of Oakland City,
passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at VNA Charlier Hospice in
Evansville.
Wilma was born Sept. 20, 1920 in Augusta to Roy and Minon (Norrick) Luttrell.
She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Oakland City
where she was very active in the United Methodist women. She and her husband were the owner/operators of Duncan Hardware
Store in Oakland City
from 1936-86. She enjoyed sports and watching her children and grandchildren in
their athletics.
She is survived by her sons and
daughters-in-law, Gary (Donna) Duncan of Huntingburg, Mark (Sally) Duncan of
Oakland City, Roger M. (Anne) Duncan of Evansville, Bruce Duncan of Evansville,
Pat (Gayle) Duncan of Marshall, Ill.; brother, Bill Luttrell of Monks Corner,
S.C.; two sisters, Linda Dunbar of Kankakee, Ill., Willa Mae Stapleton of
Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents;
husband, Robert W. Duncan in Nov. 2005; and two brothers, Buddy and Bob
Luttrell.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday May 21, 2010 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Oakland City,
with the Rev. Mark Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City
and from 9
a.m. until service time on
Friday at the church.
