Noble E. "Pete" Weist, 70, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville

He was born July 28, 1939 in Princeton

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton.  He was active with the Tuesday night bowling league at Gibson Lanes in Princeton.  He retired in 2005 after working 40 years for Lin-Gas in Princeton.

Survivors include his wife, Lois (White) Weist of Princeton; five children, Cynthia (Jay) Hale of Colorado Springs, Colo., Chris (Debbie) Weist of Poseyville, Craig (Jan) Weist and Kevin (Pam) Weist both of Hazleton, Therese Weist (Lana Otten) of Giro; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Katie and Taylor Hale, Chassity (Mikey) Mays, C.J., Brittani and Matthew Weist; one great-grandson, Cash Mays; three step-grandchildren, Mandy Belcher, Sheri Rogers and Aron Harper; five step-great grandchildren, Alexis, Tanith, Christopher, Brandy and Angel; three brothers, Bill Weist of Trenton, Ill., Donald Weist of Patoka and Ted Weist of Knox.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, Elwood and Marjie (Kellems) Weist; and two brothers, Eugene and Dale Weist.

 A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, with Father Ronald Zgunda the celebrant.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery in Princeton.  V.F.W. 1147 will provide full military rites at the cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with a parish rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
