Russell Logan Ringham Jr. 83, of Princeton, passed away May, 15, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center located in Evansville.

He was born Feb. 21, 1927 in Birdseye and met Joanna White and married her on Dec. 26, 1947.

Mr. Ringham loved gardening and watching golf as well as fishing.

He was a lifelong area resident and was formerly an auto mechanic with Utley Auto services.  He was a WW II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. 

Survivors include his wife Joanna of Princeton; son, Russell Ringham Jr. II of Princeton;  daughter, Sheral Elaine Phillips of Augusta, Ga;   grandchildren, Michelle Renee Phillips and Angie (John) Thompson all of Augusta, Ga.;  great-grandchildren Samantha and Ashland. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday May 19, 2010 at Doyle Funeral Home, 520 S. Main St. in Princeton. Burial will be in the Columbia White Church Cemetery where VFW Post 1147 will be perform military honors. 

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until the service hour on Wednesday at the funeral home.
