Brenda A. Kilian, 55, of Lafayette, formerly of Jasper, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at St. Elizabeth Central Hospital in Lafayette.

Born June 28, 1954 at Jasper, she was the daughter of Norman and Rose Marie (Bockelman) Kilian.

She was a teacher for 34 years. She taught for 11 years at Kankakee Valley School Corp. at De Motte and for 23 years at Lafayette School corporation.  She was a 1972 Jasper High School graduate, and 1976 graduate of Indiana State University.

Survivors include her parents; three brothers, Steve Kilian of Oakland City, Gary Kilian and Mike Kilian of Jasper; two sisters, Sarah (Don) Heichelbech of  Huntingburg;   Janet Roberson New Albany; 11 nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jasper with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Jasper.

 Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Friday at the Becher and Kluesner North Chapel in Jasper.
