Robert C. Wier, 81, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010.

Born Sept. 11,1928 in Hazleton, he was the son of Wallace C. and Bernice Thorne Wier.

He graduated from Hazleton High School the of class of 1946, Vincennes University 1948 and Purdue University 1950 with a degree in mechanical engineering.

He worked for Blaw Knox Chemical Co. in Pittsburgh, Pa. before joining A.M. Kinney, Inc., a Cincinnati, Ohio.  He served the Kinney Company for 41 years as director of the mechanical department, director of the power engineering department, senior vice president, member of the board of directors, and partner in A.M. Kinney Associates. He retired in 1995.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Phillips Wier; children, Nancy (Bill) Szabo, Kevin (Kim) Wier, Susan (Dennis) Dattilo; six grandchildren; in-laws, Ellen and John Vinson of Hazleton; and several nieces and nephews and

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, William Wallace Wier.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010 at T.P.White & Sons Funeral Home, 2050 Beechmont Ave., Cincinnati, Ohio.

Visitation will be 12:30 p.m. until the service hour Saturday at the funeral home.
