Edna H. “Hazel” Schultheis, 85, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton

Born April 28, 1924 in Fort Branch, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Maria (Graper) Kruse.

She resided in Haubstadt most of her life. Hazel was a homemaker.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and Daughters of Isabella Circle 151.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary (Bill) Thompson of Princeton, Jean (Steve) Weber of Phoenix, Ariz;  three sons, Joe and Rich Schultheis of Livingston, Tenn., Mark (Cheryl) Schultheis of Evansville;  a brother, Leo Kruse of Princeton; six grandchildren,  Laura (River) Luecke, B. J. Thompson, Tannon (Patty) Weber and Logan Weber. Brian and Greg Schultheis; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur on Dec. 8, 2009; two sisters, Pauline Kiesel, Alma Spain; two half-sisters, Delores Beard, Betty Ballard; a step-sister, Genevieva Molina; two brothers, Lawrence and Ivan Kruse.

 A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Tony Ernst as the celebrant.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery. 

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 6 p.m. Friends may also call from 10 a.m. until Mass time on Monday at the church.
