Amy (Ricketts) Roehr
Money, 44, formerly of Mt. Vernon, passed away Friday, April 9, 2010 at home. Amy was diagnosed with cardiac amyloidosis in May of last year and very courageously
fought the disease.
She
was a 1983 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and later attended the University of Southern Indian. She was employed at GE Plastics for more than
20 years until becoming disabled. She was a member of First Christian Church in
Mt. Vernon. Amy was a very loving and generous person that will be remembered for
all her good deeds. She loved animals and supported several local
organizations.
Survivors include her husband, Steve C.
Money; a son Cody W. Roehr; parents, Jenny (Russell)
and Allen Campbell, Charles L. and Betty Ricketts; brother, Charles A. Ricketts
(Robin); sisters, Jennifer A. Huelsman (Brad), Sarah
L. Campbell (Jesse Morrow); step sons, Craig Money (Brandy), Barry Money (Dorrie); stepdaughter, Lesley Schiff (Nate);
five step grandchildren; mother in law, Evelyn Money; eight nieces and nephews;
and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her
grandparents, Mary and Gene Russell, Catherine and Arthur Ricketts, and Agnella and Jim Campbell.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April
12, 2010 at Schneider
Funeral Home, 512
Main St. in
Mt. Vernon, with the Rev. Tom Buffington officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah cemetery near Fort Branch.
Visitation was be
from 2-7
p.m. Sunday, April
11, 2010 at the funeral home
and noon until the service hour on Monday.
