Charles "Eddie" Lamon, 55 of Oakland City passed Thursday Mar. 11, 2010 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City. He was born April 15, 1954 to John and Mary (Skelton) Lamon.

Charles had lived in Oakland City most of his life, many years with his sister Virginia. He had worked for G.C.A.R.C. in Princeton. He attended Oakland City Church of the Nazarene and enjoyed going to Florida in the winter with his sister.

He is survived by two sisters: Virginia (James) Keith of Oakland City and Jean (Curt) Williams of Eddyville KY, nieces and nephews: Jeff Kell of Evansville, Deana Harper of Princeton, Shawn Keith of Owensville, Sheila Williams of London, KY, Marnie Ellis of FL, Karen Williams, Jennifer Williams and Ben Williams of KY, several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded death by his parents, his grandmother Susie Skelton, two sisters Lawanna Kell and Johnita Ellis.

Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday March 16, 2010 at the Corn Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Rev. Darin Nossett officiating. Burial will follow in the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Corn-Colvin Funeral Home.
