Shirley L. Watson, 68 of Oakland City, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Methodist Church. She retired from Hendrickson Auto in Boonville after working in their office for 10 years. She was a member of the United Commercial Travel Group.

Shirley was born August 3, 1941 in Livingston, KY to Trice & Ruth (Bragdon) Tinsley, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Norris Wayne "Pete" Watson in December of 2009; and a brother, Douglas Tinsley.

She is survived by her son, Don Watson of Oakland City, IN; daughter & son-in-law, Debby (Scott) Harris of Velpen, In; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Jim Tinsley of Paris, TN; and a sister, Barbara Thatch of Salem, KY.

There will be a visitation from 5 until 8 PM on Friday, February 26, 2010 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, Indiana. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday February 28, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Myers Funeral Home, 713 E. Bellville St., Marion, Kentucky, with a visitation from 5 until 8 P.M. on Saturday at the Myers Funeral Home in Marion, KY. Burial will be at the Salem Cemetery in Marion, KY.
