Jack M. McCarty,81,of
Fort Branch, passed away on Feb. 19, 2010, at Specialty Select Hospital in Evansville.
Born Dec. 15, 1928 in Gibson County to Arthur and Mary McCarty.
Jack worked for the town of Fort Branch and was a security guard. He was a member of
the Fort Branch First United Methodist Church, a life member of V.F.W Post 2714 and was a WWII
Veteran.
Survivors include a son, Richard (Tammy)
McCarty of Haubstadt; daughter, Becky McCarty of Fort Branch; three grandchildren, Rich McCarty Jr., Melissa Spindler, and Barry McCarty; and two great- grandchildren,
Cameron McCarty and Kelsey Spindler.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his
wife of 45 years, Betty (Watson) McCarty, sisters, Emma Lou Sollman
and Pauline Roberson.
Funeral services for Jack will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010 at Stodghill Funeral Home
on. Ind. 168 West in Fort Branch with the Rev. John Windell
officiating.
Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch. Military rites will be conducted by V.F.W. Post
2714 and American Legion Post 194.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
