Ralph F. Fetter, 83, passed away Sunday, Feb. 14, 2010 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton

Born Feb. 7, 1927 in St. Meinrad, he was the son of William and Florence (Kapp) Fetter. 

Ralph resided in Haubstadt for 52 years.  He retired as a truck driver from Emge Packing Co.

 He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Knights of St. John Commandery 345.  He was a U.S Army veteran serving in Korea. He was also a member of American Legion Post 194 and life member of V.F.W. Post 2714.

Survivors include his four children, Sharon (John) Mayer of Fort Branch, Gary (Marlene) Fetter of Haubstadt, Diane (Larry) Kiesel of Owensville, Sandy (Charlie) Ungetheim of Haubstadt; sister, Anna Mae Beckman of St. Meinrad;   12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 59 years, Marcella “Sally” Fetter in March 2006.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. (central) Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2010 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Tony Ernst the celebrant.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 194 and V.F.W. Post 2714.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. (central) Tuesday at Wade Funeral Home, 119 S. Vine St., in Haubstadt with a Rosary service at 5:30 p.m.  Friends may also call from 10 a.m. (central) until Mass time Wednesday at the church. Being of Ash Wednesday, ashes will  be distributed during Mass.
