William H. Stokes of Hilton Head Island, SC, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at Hilton Head Hospital

A graduate of Indiana University, Bill was employed by Youngstown Sheet & Tube in Chicago, Ill. and Youngstown, Ohio.  He relocated to Hilton Head Island from Poland, Ohio in 1979.  Bill worked for Sea Pines Real Estate and the Hilton Head Island Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Diane Colvin Stokes; daughter, Kimberly, of Hilton Head Island; son, Brett, and his wife, Cindy; and grandson Alexander of Charlotte, NC.

A private family service is planned with a memorial celebration tentatively scheduled for mid-January.
