Annilee (Wright) Smith, 67, passed away Tuesday, Dec.
22, 2009 at her home in Princeton.
She was born June 28, 1942 in Evansville to Charles and Nellie Mae (Clemens) Wright.
She graduated from Vincennes Lincoln High School in 1960. She married her husband, Robert E.
Smith on July 2, 1960. She was
a retired secretary from the North Gibson School Corp. She worked at Baldwin Heights, Brumfield and Lowell Elementary schools.
Annilee lived in Princeton since 1963
moving here from Vincennes. She also owned and operated Annie’s Place
Restaurant and Granny Annie’s Craft Store in Princeton. She was an active member of the First General Baptist Church in Princeton since 1968 where she was a Sunday School
teacher. She had been active in the Good News Club in the school system.
She is survived by three daughters,
Cathy (Brian) Nossett of Oakland City, Shelly (Ray) Hardiman of Princeton, Kristy (Rick) Gooch of Princeton;
step-children, Jackie, Ryan and Dane Osborne of Boonville; seven grandchildren,
Amanda (Chris) Stoffel of Mackey, Adam (Tiffany Besing) Nossett of Petersburg,
Jared (Ashley Rogers) Jackson of Princeton, Blaine (Jaclyn) Gooch of Palos
Hill, Ill., Jamal Jackson of Princeton, Cordell and Halli
Gooch of Princeton; three great grandchildren, Kinley
Stoffell, Jenesys and Jada Jackson; brother, Charles (Judy) Wright of Mineola, Texas; sister, Debra (Mike) Knapp, Las
Cruces NM; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; and her husband Robert E. Smith on Dec. 20, 1996.
Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009 at the First General Baptist Church in Princeton, with the Rev. Darrin Nossett
and Rev. John Stepp officiating. Burial will
follow in the Columbia “White” Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and from 1:30 p.m. until
service time Sunday at the church.
