Thomas E. Roach Sr. 73, of Oakland City,
In. passed away Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper.
Born June 25, 1936 in Washington, Ind., he was the son of Orval
and Vinia (Hand) Roach.
He served as a police officer, a night
watchman and painter. He retired from Schaefer Mine Construction Co.
Survivors include daughters,
Carol Henson of Henderson Ky., Karla Doyle of St. Louis, Mo.; son, Thomas Roach Jr. of Gentryville;
step daughter, Diana Rios of Jasper; step son, Donald Myers of Washington,
Ind.; brothers, Bernard Roach and Orval Roach Jr. of
Washington, Ind.; sisters, Nancy Guy and Linda Dinkens
of Washington, Ind. eight
grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren
He as preceded in death by his parents; and
daughter, Cheryl Roach.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009 at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel with the Rev.Paul Newton officiating. Burial will be in Blackfoot Cemetery near Coe.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. until the service hour on Saturday at the chapel.
