Dorothy Marguerite (DeBord)
Purcell, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 14, 2009 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing facility
in Princeton.
She was born March 21, 1916 in Princeton to W.O. and Myrtle (Hamm) DeBord.
Marguerite was a very special and loving
mother and grandmother. She touched many with her cheerful personality
and joyful smile. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who
were blessed to know her.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law,
Janie and Paul Cloin of Princeton; one son and his friend, John Purcell and Larry Hopen
of St. Charles, Mo.; three grandchildren and their spouses, Lisa and
D.J. Willis, Tami and Carl Thomas, David and Janesse Cloin; and five great-grandchildren, Kyle and Ashley
Thomas, Austin Willis, and Laira and Lainey Cloin.
She was preceded
in death by her parents; husband, William Purcell; son, David Purcell; sister,
Alice Null; and brother, Glenn DeBord.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. Craig Duke Officiating. Burial will be at the Walnut Cemetery in Fort Branch.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
