Charles R. "Charlie Bob"
Carnahan, 82, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2009 at his home in Princeton, In. He retired as an Indiana State Excise
Officer. He later was owner/operator of Mr. C’s, Upstairs/Downstairs, and
Charlie Bobs. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was a member and
past Exalted Ruler of the Princeton Elks #634, member of the American Legion
#25, and the Eagles #361.
He was born on April 27, 1927 in Princeton, In. to
Arch & Nellie (Hall) Carnahan, both deceased. Also preceding him in death
was his 1st wife, Eloise Carnahan; and 2 brothers, Ernest "Bud" and
Edwin Carnahan.
Charles is survived by his wife, Sandra Carnahan of Princeton; daughter &
son-in-law, Sue & Don Parker of Princeton; son, Charles Kevin Carnahan of
Jasper; 2 granddaughters, Jennifer McGarrah of
Evansville and Rebecca Parker of Princeton; 3 great grandchildren, Lauren
& Jack McGarrah and Jenna Ellis; 1 sister,
Marie LePage of Princeton; 2 brothers, Don Carnahan
of Evansville and Norman Carnahan of Russellville, Arkansas; and several
nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday December 14, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will be at the Columbia "White" Church Cemetery in Princeton, In. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 P.M. on Sunday at funeral home. VFW Post #1147 will
provide full military rites at the cemetery.
