Jimmie Merrill Eads, 77, passed away Wednesday,
Nov. 18, 2009 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.
He was born Feb. 26, 1932 in Princeton to James
and Ada (Jenkins) Eads.
Jim was an accountant. He worked at
Jack Knights Auto Parts, Potter & Brumfield and retired from Siemens
Corp. in 1992. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Jim lived in Princeton since 1955 moving here from Bowman. He was a
member of the Hillside United Methodist Church in Princeton, where he served as treasurer for many
years. He was also a member of Prince Lodge 231 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Evansville, Hadi Shrine of Evansville, V.F.W. Post 1147 and the Gibson County Historical
Society. He enjoyed genealogy and working in his yard.
He is survived by his wife Shirley (Rudisel) Eads, to who he married April 15, 1956; two sons, Michael (Laura) Eads of Patoka, Kenneth
(Jocelyn) Eads of Ellicott City, Md.; four grandchildren, Cory Eads, Leah
Eads, Jessica Shaw and James Sheehan; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009 at the Hillside United Methodist Church with the Rev. Craig Duke officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus. V.F.W. Post 1147 will conduct military rites.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church.
There will be a Masonic memorial
service at the funeral home 7:30 p.m. Saturday.
