June J. Wolfe, 77, passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2009 at Deaconess Hospice Center in Evansville.

Born May 31, 1932 in Princeton, she was the daughter of Pearless and Marie (Powers) Maxey.

She retired from Zenith Corp. after 18 years.

She loved country music; was an avid NASCAR fan, enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of 39 years, Larry R. Wolfe; son, Denzil R. Meredith, Jr. and his wife Wanda of Memphis, Tenn.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Bettye Johnson and Nita Marie Meredith; two sisters, Nora Ford and Elvada Koones; and two brothers, Charles and Wes Maxey.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Tony Ernst officiating.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Funeral Home with a memorial service at 5 p.m.

Friends may also call from 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church.
