Selma L. Blaize age 90 passed away
Friday Nov. 6, 2009 at the
Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.
She was born April 18, 1919
in Knox County, IN
to Henry and Pauline (Jording) Harting.
She retired after working for over 12 years at the Forest Del Convalescent
Center in Princeton. Previous to that she had worked for
the Holiday Manor Nursing Home.
Selma had lived in Princeton
since 1969 moving here from Hazleton.
She was a member of the Our Saviour Lutheran Church
in Princeton. She enjoyed caring for her grandchildren
and gardening,
She is survived by a son, Robert Wayne (Loann) Blaize of Princeton, two
daughters: Betty (John) Morrison of Princeton, and Brenda (Bryce Jr.) Collins
of Hazleton, six grandchildren: Eric Blaize, Jack and
Andy Morrison, Misti, Shane and Leah Collins, six
great grandchildren: Ian and Cydnee Morrison, Bailee Pierce, Austin and Quincy Collins and Jaret VanPatten
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband
Arthur Blaize in 2000, three sisters: Mable Harting, Edna Wells, Hulda Fravel and a brother,
Norman Harting.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday Nov. 10, 2009 at the Our Saviour Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Karen McNeill-Utecht officiating. Burial will follow in the Shiloh
Cemetery, rural Hazleton.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m.
Monday at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at the church.
