HAZLETON — Becky Sherman, 53, of Hazleton, passed away Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at the IU Medical Center in Indianapolis.

Born March 29, 1956 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of Homer Roosevelt and Martha “Marty” (Myers) Beliles.

Becky was currently serving as the president of the Hazleton Town Council. She was known as “Ma” to many of the children her husband coached in Little League.

Survivors include her husband, Russ Sherman of Hazleton, who she married Nov. 9, 1980; her mother, Marty Beliles of Vincennes; a son, Brady Clark of South Bend; daughters, Tera Sherman of Vincennes, Lacy Sherman of Hazleton; brother, Mike Beliles of Vincennes; granddaughter, Jada Nicole Sherman; several nieces, nephews, uncles, and aunts, including Tippy Smith of Spencer.

She was preceded in death by her father; and a son, Dustin Sherman.

A service in memory of Becky's life will be at 7 p.m. (EST) Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home, 524 Broadway St., Vincennes. Friends may visit with the family from 5-8 p.m. on Thursday.
