OAKLAND CITY — Mary Louise Onyett, 86 formerly of Oakland City, passed away Sunday, Sept. 27, 2009 at CORE Nursing and Rehab in Evansville.

She was born Sept. 3, 1923 in Oakland City to Rostrus and Sophia (Stilwell) Smith.

She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star 451 of Oakland City.

Survivors include her son, Donald L. Onyett of Las Vegas, Nev.; granddaughter and her husband, Karma and Rick McLaughlin of Charlotte, NC; and a brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Charlotte Smith of Indianapolis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Donald A. Onyett on Aug. 15, 2009.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday October 1, 2009 at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City, with Pastor Charles Gipson officiating. Burial will be at the Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
