EVANSVILLE - Anita Kensler, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009 at Columbia Health Care Center.

Born March 11, 1922, in Knox County, she was the daughter of Herbert and Hanamore (Johnson) Kensler.

She graduated in 1940 from Bosse High School in Evansville and worked at Indiana Bell. She retired as an insurance representative for several independent insurance companies.

Survivors include brothers, Dr. William T. (Mary Margaret) Kensler of Sugar Grove, Ohio, Gary (Diana) Kensler of Tennyson; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Paul Leland Kensler.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2009 at St. Lucas Cemetery with the Rev. John Heumann officiating.

Visitation will be at 10 a.m. until the service hour on Monday at Stodghill Funeral Home in Ft. Branch.
