EVANSVILLE - Brenda S. Deffendall, 69, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2009, at Deaconess Hospital.

Prior to retirement, Brenda was self-employed as a companion sitter.

Survivors include a son, Devin Deffendall of Evansville; sisters, Joan Bender, of Princeton, Ann Young of Evansville; brother, Johnny Powell, of Savannah, Tenn.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary (Welman) Powell.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Blythe Chapel Cemetery
