Marvin "Bob" Hertel, 101, formerly of Princeton, passed away on Sunday September 13, 2009 in Miamisburg, Ohio. He retired from Kings Mine after 37 years of employment. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge #64 of Benton, Illinois for 80 years.

He was born on November 8, 1907 in Worden, Illinois to Wilhem & Ida Mae (Welch) Hertel, both deceased. Also preceding him in death was his wife of 71 years, Jeannettia D. (Johnson) Hertel; son, Robert William Hertel; granddaughter; and 2 brothers.

Bob is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Melita & Gary Minnis; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday September 26, 2009 at 3:00 PM at the Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, In. Masonic Memorial Service will be held at the graveside. There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
