HAUBSTADT — Lorene K. Stolz, age 88 passed Sunday August 30, 2009 at River Oaks Health Campus in Princeton.

Born Oct. 18, 1920 in Haubstadt, she was the daughter of Adam and Theresa (Wannemuehler) Spindler.

She was a homemaker. Lorene was a lifetime member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and also a member of St. Bernadette Auxiliary 280, Daughters of Isabella and American Legion Auxiliary 194. She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Choir. She enjoyed flower gardening, playing the accordion and organ and enjoyed spending time with here family. Lorene was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Lorene is survived by two daughters, Mary (Ben) Atchison of Fort Branch, Jane (Brent) Klump of Haubstadt; two sons, Ron (Barb) Stolz of Haubstadt, Jim (Ann) Stolz of Colorado Springs, Colo.; sister, Rita Riedford of Poseyville; two brothers, John and Charles Spindler both of Haubstadt; 11 grandchildren, Phillip and Adam Stolz, Andrew and Kati Stolz, Rachel Krutz, Sarah Hasenour, Aaron Atchison, Vanessa Biver; Megan, Michael and Nicholas Alvarez; and nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent in 1995; son Maj. Lawrence G. Stolz, USAF who gave his life in service to his country; sister, Virginia Schmitt; and three brothers, Adam Spindler, Jr., Anthony “Tony” Spindler and George Spindler.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Tony Ernst officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Wade Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Friends may also call from 10 a.m. until Mass time Thursday at the church.
