OWENSVILLE, Ind. — James Robert Moore, 100, passed away
Monday, June 1, 2009, at The Waters in Princeton.
He was born on December 30, 1908,
in Gibson County
to the late Henry Arthur and Mary Zimrode (Jaquess) Moore.
Bob graduated from Owensville High
School in 1927, was an electrical contractor,
worked heavy construction on the Hoover Dam and was a school bus driver for
many years. He was a member of the Owensville
United Methodist
Church, a 50-year member of the
Prince Lodge No. 231, Scottish Rite and Shrine Sword
Bunker Hill.
He was preceded by his parents, his wife, Maella (Mauck) Moore, on November
10, 2000, 5 sisters, Ruth Moore, Mary Ella Thompson, Sarah Knierim, Arlene McCandless and
Betty Crabtree; and a brother, John Moore.
He is survived by a son, Robert L. Moore of Owensville; 2 sisters, Lucille Loewenkamp of Evansville and Virginia Moore of Glendale,
Calif.; a brother, Arthur Chase Moore of Glendale, Calif.; several nieces and
nephews; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Ruth Moore.
Memorial Masonic graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday,
June 6, 2009, at the Mauck
Cemetery. Rev. Linda Lawlor will officiate.
