OAKLAND CITY, Ind. — Huford "H.J." Mitchell, 80, died July 20, 2009, at his home.

He retired as a longshoreman and was a Korean War veteran.

Surviving is his wife, Janice; daughters, Julie Oakley, Cindy Campbell and Rose White; son, Pete Galey; sister, Mildred North; brothers, Roy and Lionel.

Services 7 p.m. Friday at Lamb-Basham Memorial Chapel. Visitation is 4 p.m. to services.
