OWENSVILLE, Ind. — Sarah Ann Jochim, 94, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2009, at the Transcendent Healthcare of Owensville.

She was born on December 11, 1914, to William and Ida (Mobley) Jones.

She worked 50 years for J.D. Higginbotham & Sons grain elevator as a bookkeeper.

Sarah was a member of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Poseyville.

Surviving are a son, Marion, and a daughter-in-law, Carla Jochim; a granddaughter, Alicia (Jason) Walther; and a grandson, Travis (T.J) Jochim, all of Owensville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Oscar F. Jochim, in 1996; a sister, Rebecca McCarty, and a brother, James Jones.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Poseyville. Rev. Bernie Etienne will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville.
