Warren Gene France, 80, of Evansville,
entered rest on Saturday, July 4, 2009,
at 10:10 a.m. at Deaconess
Hospital in Evansville.
He was born on November 20, 1928,
in Pike County, Ind.,
to Lowell and Fern (Bass) France. He retired from United States Air Force after
29 years, worked at Hansen Manufacturing in Princeton
for 10 years as personal manager. He was a member of Oakland City American
Legion Post No. 256 and Northwoods
Church in Evansville.
He was preceded in death by parents and brothers, Dewayne France and Jerry
Doan, and sister, Aileen Tyring.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, the former Mary Jo Kinnaman
France; son, Phillip of Patoka, Ind.; sister, AdaBelle
(Gailen) Hart of LaBelle,
Florida; and brother, Jimmy (LaVerne) France of
Vacaville, California, and Joe Ed France of Oakland City, Ind.
Funeral services will be 3:45 p.m.
today in Montgomery Cemetery
in Oakland City, Ind.
The Rev. Bobby Pell and Rev. Ed Collins will officiate
services. Visitation will be from 1:30
to 3:30 p.m. today at Lamb-Basham
Memorial Chapel in Oakland City,
Oakland City American Legion Post No. 256 will conduct military services.
