David C. Crabtree, age 78 formerly of Haubstadt passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at the Heritage Center in Evansville. He was born March 17, 1941 in Evansville to the late Berthold and Naomi (Stallings) Crabtree. He formerly worked as a custodian at Deaconess Hospital.

He enjoyed TV Westerns and native American memorabilia. He joined the Catholic church as an adult and enjoyed bible study. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of St. John #345 and Knights of Columbus #2215.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Robert and Allen Crabtree.

He is survived by his “Honorary” daughter, Mary (Mike) Sorg, “grandchildren” Jill (Alden) Heuring, Tara, Theo, Kate, Mark, Noah and John Paul Sorg. “Great grandchildren” Flannery and Amelia Heuring.

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 AM Monday, September 9, 2019 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Owensville. Friends may call from 8 to 10 AM Monday at the church with a Rosary service beginning at 9:30 AM.
