Mary Noftsger Perry (1818-1895)

Mary (Clark) Noftsger Perry and her brother Daniel, were one of the first citizens in Fulton County. It is rumored that they had Native American ancestors somewhere down the line. Records show she was born in Hamilton County and married Nelson M. Noftsger in Cincinnati in 1841. He must have died shortly after that because she was remarried to a Samuel Perry in Fulton County in 1857. Her grandson Charles owned the Noftsger Store which burned down in 1882. It was located in the now defunct village of Grant in Fulton County.
