We are currently looking for volunteers in and around Franklin County to assist in basic research at the Franklin County Courthouse and Brookville Library, or those who own Franklin County books or publications and are willing to do lookups in those. Janet Wells has volunteered to do tombstone searches for Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville and also do some lookups for people at the Brookville Library and Courthouse. Contact her with any questions.
Greg Meyer has indexed the church records (baptisms, marriages, and deaths) for Holy Family Church in Oldenburg from 1837- 1940, and will look up information for those who email him. He also has indexed the records of St. Anne's in Hamburg and St. John's in Enochsburg and can do lookups at St. Anne's up to 1948 and St. John's up to 1940.
If anyone has ties to the St. Peter's area of southern Franklin County in Highland Township, David Endres has volunteered to do lookups in that area. He has a copy of the book St. Peter Catholic Church, 1833-1983 detailing the parish history and also history of the village of St. Peter's. Contact David Endres with your surname lookups.
